Sunflower Paintings in Acrylics

In this class, I teach you how to paint beautiful sunflower paintings with acrylic paints. I show you how I sketch a composition. Then I teach you how I add details and highlights that make your painting really pop by keeping the essence of an impressionism painting. Sunflowers are not so complicated to paint, but at the same time, it can be a little tricky. The important thing is control the quantity of paint and strokes. Let's see how we can create highlights and shadows by loose strokes, step by step. I have listed all of the paint colors and supplies I used for this class below but, feel free to use your own colors and change up the paint palette to your liking.

SUGGESTED SUPPLIES

• Sketchbook

• Medium Angle / Flat Paint Brush

• Water cup for rinsing

• Pencil

• Rag or paper towels for drying

• Palette for your paint

• Acrylic Paint ( Cobalt Blue, Titanium White, Mars Black, Red, Yellow, Green and Brown )
