Natural intelligence

Description:
In this course I will cast my net into the natural world by examining a number of short case studies, all based on observations of the behaviour of animals. I want to probe these for ideas that might help us to reconsider our rather narrow conception of intelligence. I also want to challenge some commonly held ideas and distinctions. This is not a course on biology. But it is a course on how biology can inspire, change, improve and develop the computational techniques we need for truly intelligent computer systems.
