Basel Statements: Game and Drama-Based Interactive Learning

Description:
Background: The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) unites more than 3 million pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists globally, collaborating with 137 national organizations, academic institutions, and individual members. In 2008, the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) developed the Basel Statements at the Global Conference on the Future of Hospital Pharmacy in Basel, Switzerland, providing the first unified vision for hospital pharmacy practice worldwide. In 2015, FIP released a revised version of these statements, which are now available in 21 languages, broadening their global influence.
Structured into six key themes—medication procurement, preparation, delivery, administration and monitoring, influences on prescribing, and human resources and training—the Basel Statements serve as a framework for advancing hospital pharmacy. To support pharmacists in hospital settings, various hospital pharmacy societies have been established worldwide, further strengthening the profession.
The present practice test course offers an engaging way to help experienced hospital pharmacists, pharmacy students, clinical pharmacists, and healthcare professionals sharpen their skills. By incorporating interactive game-based learning and drama-based role-play, participants are challenged to solve real-world problems and apply the Basel Statements in dynamic hospital pharmacy settings. Our course promises to refine decision-making and problem-solving abilities, preparing learners for complex situations in a hospital environment.
